All of us that have live through the evolution of the digital ERA can stop realizing how much the technology has advanced. Starting from the time of main frame computers those big rooms with huge hardware. We never imagine how far technology could have gone. IBM and Apple developed the personal computers in the 70's. By 1985 I saw the first one that a relative purchased, I was a teenager hungry to learn, started as a game trying to figure out what that machine could do. I remember it was a clone of some unknown brand. You can only do word and spreadsheets, as I play with the machine a few times I though I broke, to my luck only restart would come back to normal. Since then it became my pasiĆ³n.
When, I went to College in my surprisingly computers were still run on main frame. For some reason colleges and universities are one step behind technology. I heard of the new apple computers that revolutionized the market, but it wasn't until the 90's that I saw my first Macintosh machine on my first office job. I did not get a chance to use one until a few years later.
In 1998 I got my second office job using the latest Blue iMac and from time to time I use the best in the market since that was used in the graphic design. By year 2000 I got my first PC for obvious reasons, because it was cheaper.
Few years later with the crisis in the country, it hit home been force to survive anyhow. I started my own business without much experience but went ahead. In that period of time I acquire a few more Desktops as they were getting old. Then I started to enter a new era using the notebook computers.
With all this personal history I am also showing that we went from huge Computer to Notebooks. Did we though we could go any further, we only dream watching Star Wars, The Jetsons and all this futuristics shows of the day.
Going back a bit in 1995 I bought my first personal cellphone a Nokia latest in technology at the time. Nobody imagine that this miniture devices could the place of one of those main frame computers or the more advanced Macintosh, iMac or Windows base computers.
By the year 2003 I got my first windows phone, then few years later I enter into the Blackberry family, I mean I got one of them, which for some time had been popular in the business world.
Android phones came to the scene as well as the iPods, iPhones, so by 2012 I got my first Android Phone and to my luck the very popular Samsung S2. In this period I had the privilege of teach my most favorite subject computers, I was able to point out to my student what I had in my hand a Computer capable to do so much, transfer files wireless, printing, take pictures , take videos, record conversations, use as remote control. Taking the place of mulltiple devices that in the past use to do this jobs.
Today I got an Android Samsung Galaxy S3, my wife and daughter have iPhones and iPad each. So I have use also the Apple gadgets.
Now We hear of hundreds of more gadgets Galaxy S5, iPhone 5s, iPad Air, HTC One M8, Samsung Smart Watch. Also, Google Glass that will be on the market soon at a very high price like most new gadgets are, with this last one we can see how far technology has take us, as to have a computer on the corner of our eye.
The next step is already happening have computer incorporated to our bodies as we saw in the Six Millon Dollar man, any body remember that.
What else can we expect from technology?
